Terms of Use
Last updated October 11, 2026
These terms apply to askmargaret.org and to the guides and checklists sold or given away by HTELLE LLC ("we", "us"). By using the site or buying a guide, you agree to them.
General education, not advice
Everything we publish is general education. It is not financial, tax, legal, insurance or medical advice, and it does not create an adviser-client relationship. Programs, limits and deadlines depend on your state, income and facts, and they change. Check with the agency, and talk with a licensed professional about your own situation.
Not a government site
Ask Margaret is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of any government agency, including the Social Security Administration, Medicare, CMS and the IRS. See our disclosures.
Accuracy
We work hard to get figures right and we date them. We cannot promise that every figure is current or error-free. If you spot a mistake, tell us at support@askmargaret.org.
Buying a guide
Guides are digital products delivered as a PDF download. Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout. Your purchase is covered by our 60-day refund policy.
Your license
When you buy a guide, we give you a personal, non-transferable license to download it, read it and print copies for your own use and your household. Please do not resell, share publicly, post online or distribute it. Copyright and all other rights stay with HTELLE LLC.
Using the site
Do not misuse the site, try to break or overload it, or use it to break the law. We may update or remove content at any time.
Links to other sites
We link to official and other sites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.
No warranty and limit of liability
The site and guides are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, HTELLE LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on our content. Our total liability for any claim relating to a guide is limited to the amount you paid for it. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date.
